A note from Micah:
For the last little while, I’ve become quite enamored by pocket journals—more specifically graph paper pocket journals. Over time, this practice of child-like doodling, jotting down embarrassing thoughts, and recognizing beauty has become something sacred. I began to think of these messy journals as little treasures, or at least a much-needed rhythm of collecting.
As I neared the final pages of my store-bought notebooks, I thought about how fun it would be to make pocket journal for myself and any friends who might find them meaningful.
So here’s my first go at it…
I wanted to make something that reflects my process, makes use of my materials, allows me to archive my inner life, and reminds me to notice.
